When Jaelynn H. began pursuing gymnastics at the elite level, she needed an educational program that could support her demanding training schedule while helping her thrive academically. That search led her family to Visions, where she enrolled in the Home School Academy and discovered opportunities that extended far beyond a personalized schedule.
“I have been a proud Visions student since the third grade, and I plan to continue all the way through high school,” Jaelynn shared. In the 2026–27 school year, she will begin high school in Visions University Prep Early College Academy.
Over the years, Visions has become a place where Jaelynn feels empowered to pursue her goals while remaining true to herself.
“Visions is so much more than flexible,” she said. “It’s a place where I feel supported, understood, and encouraged to be myself.”
Gymnastics has been a part of Jaelynn’s life since she was very young. From her first time stepping onto the mat, she developed a passion for the sport that has grown into an extraordinary level of achievement.
Today, Jaelynn is recognized as one of the top Level 9 gymnasts in the nation. This season, she accomplished a remarkable feat: finishing undefeated in the All-Around category. No gymnast outscored her at any meet throughout the season, including State, Regionals, and Western Championships.
“Becoming one of the top Level 9 gymnasts in the nation means so much to me,” Jaelynn said. “It represents years of hard work, discipline, and believing in myself even when things were tough.”
While the titles and awards are meaningful, what she values most is the personal growth that comes from the sport.
“My favorite part is the feeling of accomplishment after successfully completing a routine I’ve worked so hard to perfect,” she explained. “I love the energy of competition, the friendships I’ve made, and the confidence gymnastics has given me.”
Excelling at an elite athletic level requires dedication, focus, and careful time management. Throughout her years at Visions, Jaelynn has successfully balanced the demands of training while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
“She represents what it means to be both a scholar and an athlete: resilient, motivated, and consistently striving for greatness,” said her mother, Jameka.
Jaelynn credits much of her success to the support she receives from her teachers and counselor, who help her personalize learning goals and stay on track academically. “They check in on me, encourage me, and help me stay on track with my goals both in school and in gymnastics,” she said.
The personalization of her learning has also allowed her to discover new interests beyond the gym. She has learned to sew, crochet, and through Visions enrichment opportunities take virtual piano lessons with vendor Aaron Matthew. “I’ve learned to play many songs, including This Girl Is on Fire by Alicia Keys—which feels fitting for my journey,” she said.
When her training schedule allows, Jaelynn also enjoys attending Visions events and spending quality time with her family.
“Visions has allowed me to explore all of these interests by giving me the time, space, and support to grow in multiple areas—not just athletics or academics, but creativity too.”
As she prepares to begin high school, Jaelynn remains focused on the future. She plans to continue training at the elite level and hopes to compete in collegiate gymnastics one day. “I’m determined, focused, and excited for the journey ahead,” she said.
For students considering Visions, her advice is simple:
“Do it. Visions gives you the freedom to be yourself, to grow at your own pace, and to follow your passions without sacrificing your education.”
Whether she is competing on the national stage, maintaining academic excellence, or exploring new creative pursuits, Jaelynn continues to demonstrate what is possible when talent, determination, and the right support system come together.
