Visions In Education is proud to provide 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Independent Study and University Prep students with educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom and reach into their future. Visions’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) program strives to prepare students for college and career by keeping students engaged while providing credentialed instruction, work-based learning opportunities, and dual enrollment and articulated college credit.
Healthcare is currently one of the fastest growing career sectors in California and the nation. The Health and Nutrition Pathway is a two-course pathway that provides the foundational knowledge and skills needed to be successful in careers involving nutritional health. This pathway gives students the opportunity to earn the Nutrition Education Certificate at Folsom Lake College through additional dual enrollment and advanced education courses.
After completing the classes for this certificate, students may apply credits toward the Associate in Science in Nutrition and Dietetics for Transfer (AS-T). Read more.
To register Visions students must be enrolled in Independent Study or University Prep and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Recommend that students reside within the Los Rios Community College District.
Visit our Support Services page for other college and career opportunities, including the Medical Careers Pathway and our Automotive Technology partnership with American River College.
Our Career and Technical Education team hopes to offer additional college partnerships and other career pathways in the future.
